ABOUT

The Worry Free Life grew out of Dr. Sandbek's clinical psychology practice. In 1991 he trained Patrick Philbrick, a nationally ranked sailplane pilot, in the performance enhancing skills of cognitive psychology.

When Patrick joined Green Valley Community Church in 2002, they asked him to teach those same skills in their newly growing life skills classes. Pat's heart for this calling came out of some of his own struggles with depression, anxiety, and alcohol abuse.

The result was a dovetailing of the science of cognitive psychology and the teachings of Jesus Christ. At this writing in 2005 we have conducted four highly successful Renewing Your Mind classes and the book is about to be released.

Patrick W. Philbrick, CEO - Green Valley Publishing

Patrick is an author, teacher, and speaker that helps people build their faith by getting rid of worry and overcoming painful, destructive emotions like depression, anxiety and guilt. With Dr. Sandbek as his mentor, Patrick brought the powerful tools found in The Worry Free Life into his church and began to teach them in Christian Life Skills classes back in the summer of 2004. After changing hundreds of lives, and having been moved by the joy-filled testimonies of graduates in their classes, the book The Worry Free Life was born.

Patrick graduated from UCLA with a degree in English literature. In between raising his two sons, volunteering in his local church, and having a full time career in publishing, Patrick spends many hundreds of hours a year with Dr. Sandbek teaching classes, writing newsletters, and developing new programs that will help set people free from the needless suffering and emotional pained caused by worry.
